This is the 6th of 15 fundraising posts for our gallery in the summer of 2024.
Today we feature artist, curator, and preparator Andy Vible.
Andy’s artwork has been shown many times in exhibits at the Chris White Gallery, but every exhibit benefits from his expertise as a professional preparator, expertly hanging art on the walls. In addition, Andy often serves as a curator for exhibits, and he serves on the board of the Chris White Community Development Corporation, which oversees Shipley Lofts and the gallery. Why does Andy encourage you to donate?
I’ve been involved at Chris White Gallery as a curator since 2017 and over the course of those 7 years, my involvement has allowed me to grow and evolve in my curatorial practice as well as my artistic practice. I consider Chris White Gallery a staple of the downtown Wilmington art scene, and by donating to the gallery you are directly helping Wilmington’s art scene to continue to support and showcase local artists.”

Our Goal = $8,400.
$2,690 was donated as of July 20, 2024.
$8,400 is how much the gallery will spend in the coming year to mount six art exhibitions in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. Your donation will cover the cost of professional installation, exhibit lettering, take-away cards, event insurance, and publicity with enough left over to give small stipends to curators and exhibit coordinators. Our expenses are low because volunteers do most of the work and the Shipley Lofts apartment building covers our rent and utilities. As a result, Wilmington’s diverse and talented artists have a handsome brightly-lit place to put their work on display. Your donation is all we need to make it happen.
