This is the 12th of 15 fundraising posts for our gallery in the summer of 2024.
Today we feature iPhoneographer Kathy Buckalew.
Kathy Buckalew most recently exhibited at the Chris White Gallery in the April 2022 group exhibit “Visions XII” with other members of the Brandywine Photo Collective. After decades shooting film, two more shooting digital SLR cameras, now she posts her iPhone photos daily on Instagram and Facebook, images that are processed with photo apps right on the phone. She often teaches iPhoneography at the Delaware Art Museum and elsewhere. Click here to see her posts on Instagram.
Why does Kathy encourage you to support our non-profit?
The Chris White Gallery exhibits local artists, almost all of them new to me, many of them young and pushing boundaries. The style and subject matter is different than what I usually see. The space itself is fabulous, upstairs and down. That is why I am a regular visitor.”

Checks made out to “Chris White CDC” may be mailed to
Chris White CDC, 701 N. Shipley Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
Our Goal = $8,400.
$3,065 was donated as of July 24, 2024.
$8,400 is how much the gallery will spend in the coming year to mount six art exhibitions in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. Your donation will cover the cost of professional installation, exhibit lettering, take-away cards, event insurance, and publicity with enough left over to give small stipends to curators and exhibit coordinators. Our expenses are low because volunteers do most of the work and the Shipley Lofts apartment building covers our rent and utilities. As a result, Wilmington’s talented artists have a handsome brightly-lit place to put their work on display. Your donation is all we need to make it happen.
