This is the 7th of 15 fundraising posts for our gallery in the summer of 2024.
Today we feature artist and curator Rebecca Howell.
Guest curators frequently have a chance to mount exhibitions at the Chris White Gallery. Rebecca Howell has curated two exhibits, “Let Me Tell You” in 2022 (with Jen Hintz Eggers) and “Group Configuration” in 2023. For years she managed the studio art program at the Delaware Art Museum. She is also a talented artist! Click here to visit her website.
Why does Rebecca encourage you to donate?
This gallery is the hub for showcasing emerging and established artists of the region. They have their finger on the pulse of the local art scene and are often the first to introduce me to new artists and new curatorial voices.”

Checks made out to “Chris White CDC” may be mailed to
Chris White CDC, 701 N. Shipley Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
Our Goal = $8,400.
$2,690 was donated as of July 20, 2024.
$8,400 is how much the gallery will spend in the coming year to mount six art exhibitions in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. Your donation will cover the cost of professional installation, exhibit lettering, take-away cards, event insurance, and publicity with enough left over to give small stipends to curators and exhibit coordinators. Our expenses are low because volunteers do most of the work and the Shipley Lofts apartment building covers our rent and utilities. As a result, Wilmington’s diverse and talented artists have a handsome brightly-lit place to put their work on display. Your donation is all we need to make it happen.
